• Let your children use eyedroppers to drop blue and green colored water on a coffee filter. They will love watching the filter absorb the water. When it is done the filters look just like the earth.

Have your children recycle materials by bringing them to class and using as art supplies

• Paper (cut as circles) or paper plates

• Have your children partner up. Next have them paint the paper circles blue. After they have dried. Have one partner drip green paint on their circle and the other partner drip brown on theirs. Put the circles together and it will form a neat pattern of the Earth.

• Cut contact paper into a bracelet. Make the bracelet so that it will be sticky side up. Go on a nature walk and let your children put whatever they find (grass, flowers, feathers, sticks, pebbles, etc) on the bracelet.

• Have your children cut a circular piece of paper blue. When it is dry paint your child's hand green and have them press it against the paper. This will make a neat Earth like effect.

• Give your children magazines. Have them cut out and make a collage of things that are recyclable.

• Laundry Detergent Scoop
• Cardboard
• Dirt

• Have your children cut out and paint wheels from cardboard. Have them attach these to the laundry detergent scoop. They can now add dirt and seeds and grow flowers in their miniature wheelbarrow.

• Lunch Sacks
• Paper Towel Rolls
• Newspaper
• Paint
• Meat Trays
• Aluminum Foil

• Stuff a white paper lunch sack with newspaper and then insert a paper towel tube into the open end of the sack (Put a rubber band around the sack to hold it on) Next have your children shred newspaper for hair, use aluminum foil for eyes, and even a foam mouth (cut from clean meat trays).

• Paper Towel Rolls
• Tape that you can paint on
• Glue
• Paint
• Uncooked Rice
• Toothpicks

• Pre-poke holes into the side of the paper towel rolls. Then have your children poke toothpicks through the holes (glue both ends). Next tape one end of the roll closed. Add rice and tape the other end. Next let your children paint their sticks any way that they want. Finally, cut off any ends of the toothpicks sticking out. Now your children have a great rain stick made out of recycled paper towel rolls

• Toilet Paper Tubes
• Wax Paper
• Rubber Band
• Paint

• Simply decorate a toilet paper tube with paint. Then you punch a hole about a half-inch down the tube. Finally put a circle of wax paper over one end secure it with a rubber band. Now your children can play music from a recycled toilet paper tube.
