Homemade Umbrella

What You Need:
  • Paper Towel
  • Watercolors (or water and paint mixed)
  • Cardboard
What You Do:
  • Cut a paper towel as an umbrella. Then have your children paint it with watercolors. When this has dried add a precut handle made from cardboard.
Umbrella Art

What You Need:
  • Glue
  • Rice
  • Paper
  • Crayons/Markers
What You Do:
  • Have your child draw an umbrella on a piece of blue paper. Then have them put glue everywhere that they want rain. For the rain they can use rice. This makes a very cute project!
All about the Sky

What You Need:
  • Paper plates
  • Blue Sand
  • Glitter
  • Cotton balls
What You Do:
  • Let children paint glue on the paper plates, add cotton balls for clouds and shake blue sand on as well as glitter. Add a paper umbrella. Ask the children to tell you about their picture, print their words and put on black background with plate. Hang on a bulletin board labled "All about the sky."

Cotton Clouds

What You Need:
  • Paper
  • Paint
  • Glitter
  • Cotton Balls
What You Do:
  • Have the children glue cotton for the clouds and using there fingers dip them in paint to make rain drops under their clouds and then sprinkle glitter on the raindrops to make them sparkle and stick out. Let them paint an umbrella or paint one on the paper
