What You Do:
  • Provide your children with different shapes of cardboard and then let them design signs. You can also have them designed specifically for preschool (tricycle crossing, etc.)

What You Do:
  • Explain to your children how a fire detector works and how it could save their life. Show them the inside of one then have them make their own with paper plates, glue, and paint.
911 Phone

  • Various Other Art Supplies of Your Choice
What You Do
  • Provide your children the materials and invite them to make a telephone using the ribbon as the cord (or they can make a cordless). Have them practice dialing 911 on the phone

What You Do
  • Give your children a box and art supplies and let them design their own fire truck.
Fire Dog

  • Glue
  • Paint (and perhaps sponges for painting)
What You Do:
  • Give your children precut shapes of different colors and have theme create their pets by gluing the shapes together however they want. They can then use paint to finalize the masterpiece.
