Birthday Card for Jesus

What You Need:
  • Cardstock
  • Crayons
  • Paint
  • Hay or Grass (Easter Grass Works Well)
  • Jesus Related Pictures/Clipart
What You Do:
  • Give you children the supplies and let them design a birthday card for Jesus
Baby Jesus' Manger
What You Need:
  • Juice Box
  • Paper
  • Paint & Crayons
  • Hay or Grass (Easter Grass Works Well)
What You Do:
  • Cut
Cut one side off of the juice box. Let your children draw a baby jesus on the paper. Then help them cut out the baby. Finally help them glue the grass in the box to create baby Jesus in a manger.
Hand Print Angels

What You Need:
  • Paper
  • Paint
What You Do:
  • Put a child's footprint on the middle of the piece of paper. Next have them put their handprints on either side of the footprint(making wings) Let them add glitter to the wet paint and when it dries paint a face
  • To make these an ornament cut around the angels and laminate them
Advent Wreath

What You Need:
  • Clay
  • Birthday Candles
  • Paint
What You Do:
  • Let your children make a wreath out of the clay (or make the wreath's ahead of time), then use the candles to create holes, remove the candles and then bake the wreaths. Next let your children paint the wreaths however they want. When the wreaths have dried let your children put the candles into the holes to create their very own Avent Wreath.
Hand Wreath

What You Need:
  • Paint
  • Construction Paper
  • Glue
  • Glitter
What You Do:
  • Paint your childs palm green and then paint their middle finger pink and the other three fingers purple (do not paint the thumb). Have them press their hand on the paper to create a wreath with candles. Finally, put glue at the top of each finger and sprinkle glitter over the glue. This creates neat glitter flames!
Paper Plate Wreath

What You Need:
  • Paper Plates
  • Paint
  • Green Construction Paper
  • Glue
What You Do:
  • Cut the middle out of the paper plate. Have your children trace and cut out their hands from the construction paper. Ask your children what gift they want to give baby Jesus and write the gift on their hand. Have them glue the construction paper hand on the plate to create a beutiful wreath. You can also add red pom-pom berries.
My Paper Bag Barn

What You Need:
  • Paper Bags
  • Crayons/Markers
  • Construction Paper
  • Glue
What You Do:
  • Have the children create the barn Jesus was born in on a brown paper bag. They can draw windows, doors, livestock, a manger, etc.. Creative kids may even make a roof out of the construction paper
Baby Jesus Puppet

What You Do:
  • Let your children make a baby Jesus Puppet. They can create the facial features on the bag and yarn for hair. Additionally they can use your fabrics to make clothes for their puppet.
